She started her acting career at the age of two on the show Chiquilladas and went on to appear in many successful telenovelas, including the wildly successful Rebelde (2004-2006), which was based on the popular Argentine series Rebelde Way . She grew up in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where she attended bilingual schools and excelled academically. She  had a job with the radio station Radio Suprema Stereo 99.5 in Tegucigalpa in high school and even hosted her own show. Sadly, she lost her father to a heart attack in 1996. Nonetheless, due to her academic success, she won a scholarship to Angelo State University in Texas, where she majored in Communications. She graduated in 2001. After graduation she started working with Univisión affiliates and collaborated with CNN. She had the opportunity to interview Chilean author Isabel Allende in Dallas in 2006.
