¡Feliz cumpleaños a ... Emanero (Federico Andrés Giannoni)! (1987-     )

An Argentinian rapper who started performing when he was 15, Emanero released his first demo, Mi Primer Maqueta, in 2004. He attracted the attention of Sigla Music, an independent label, who then helped him turn his demo into an album, Bienvenidos a Mi Mundo, which sold over two million copies in two years. His second album, Arjé, produced by independent label Benditas Producciones, included socially conscious songs such as Más tenemos, Más Queremos and Miedos (which includes the line "La Argentina sangra y todos bailan por un sueño.") In 2013 Emanero released Si no haces nada sos parte, which became the theme song of Argentina's national anti-bullying campaign. Emanero's third album, Tres, was released in 2014. As the host of the show AcciónArte, produced by FWTV, Emanero investigates different social issues (the show premiered last year). The first season dealt with violence against women, while future seasons will address xenophobia and childhood malnutrition (read more HERE). (1902-1989) A Cuban poet, journalist, political activist, and writer of African-European descent, Guillén was known during his life as the National Poet of Cuba. ¡Feliz cumpleaños a ...  Antonio de la Rúa! (1974-      ) Photo from wikimedia. Click HERE .  An Argentinian lawyer and the oldest son of Fernando de la Rúa, President of Argentina from 1999-2001, Antonio de la Rúa founded ALAS , an organization to help promote early childhood education, with his now ex Shakira . The two were together from 2000 to 2010, with de la Rúa also managing her career (after they split, he filed a $250 million lawsuit for damages, though the suit was eventually thrown out by a Los Angeles judge). Before the split, however, de la Rúa and Shakira met with various heads of state to discuss early childhood education, including Barack Obama in 2009 (see photo, right). These days, de la Rúa is married to Colombian DJ Daniela Ramos and living in Berlin with his family, which includes daughters Zulú, born in 2013, and Mael, born in 2017.
