A Puerto Rican actor who has been in multiple movies and television shows since the late 1970s (including the 1993 movie Carlito's Way with Al Pacino, Sean Penn, and John Leguizamo), Gúzman was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico and raised in Greenwich Village, New York City. His mom, Rosa, was a hospital worker and his dad, Benjamín, was a TV repairman. He most recently appeared in CBS's Code Black, with the season finale appearing July 18, 2018. He often plays supporting roles, though he had his first leading role in 2013's Aztec Warrior, a movie about a washed-up Mexican wrestler. He and wife Angelita Galarza-Guzmán have five children, four of whom are adopted, and live in Sutton, Vermont. Hear him speak about growing up Puerto Rican in this video from Project Eñye. In this video, he speaks Spanish alongside actor Michael Peña in an interview on Despierta América about the movie Turbo.
